DHL Joins Forces with Evri to Strengthen UK Parcel Delivery Market

DHL and private equity-owned Evri are merging operations to create one of the UK’s largest parcel delivery services.

DHL has acquired a minority stake in Evri, formerly Hermes UK, merging their UK e-commerce businesses to form a powerhouse in parcel and business letter delivery. The combined company will handle over 1 billion parcels annually and employ more than 30,000 couriers, challenging major players like Royal Mail and Amazon. This partnership also launches 'Evri Premium,' a new service blending Evri’s cost-effective courier network with DHL’s premium delivery capabilities, focusing on secure and time-sensitive shipments. Leveraging DHL’s extensive global network, the collaboration aims to enhance delivery speed and expand services across the UK and internationally, marking a significant step in the ongoing consolidation of the UK logistics sector.
